WARD CHARGES, DEPOSIT & DISCHARGE

PENSIONEER

Deposit must be added when it is less than the interim bill.

Ward deposit and ward charges differs from one person to an other depending on the type of illness and the type of ward admitted to. Keep your deposit slip to claim back refund from any access of the fee after you are discharge from the ward.

B.  Ward Charges

Government employees wishing for an admission to a class higher than his/her entitlement, will be charge according to general public/private sector's rate and is required to pay full amount of deposit.

C. Treatment Charges

Note:
Patient who is initially admitted to a lower class then transfer to a higher class at his/her request is require to pay ward charges at the rate of the higher class.

D. Guarantee Letter

Government Employee will be admitted to a third class if without guarantee letter from his/her department.

Pensioner will be admitted to a third class ward if without pensioner card or other supporting document.

Private Firm (Firm that is registered with the Ministry of health) will be asked to pay deposit if without guarantee letter from the firm.

E. Claiming Refund

Forward the following documents

1. Payment receipts - verified by ward staff pertaining to orthopaedic equipment
2. Hospital Bills
3. Identification card
4. Proxy letter is require if the claimant name differ from the payer name in the receipt

F. Method Of Payment

1. Cash
2. Cheque, Postal Draft & crossed Money Order in the name of "Pengarah hospital Kuala Lumpur
   - Individual :- Write full name and Identification Numbers on the back of the cheque
3. Credit Card
   - Master Card & Visa may be use for payment of deposit and hospital bill only
4. Pay Deduction
   - For Government employee payment of bill must exceed RM50.00.

I. OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT

Out patient are patients who get their treatment from the Outpatient department or Specialists clinics.

Charges For Malaysian citizen

Out Patient Department: RM 1.00

Specialist Clinic:

1.  Referred by Government Medical Officer

• Free for first visit.
• RM 5.00 for subsequent visit excluding charges for investigation
• Investigations are charged according to first class rate.

2.  Referred by Private Practitioner

• RM 30.00 for first visit
• RM5.00 for subsequent visit excluding investigation charges
• Investigations are charged according to first class rate.

3.  Clinic visit after discharged from ward.

• RM 5.00 for every visit including investigations charges

Charges For Non-Citizen

Out - patient Department : RM 15.00

Specialist clinic:

1.  Referred by Government Medical Officer

• RM 60.00 for first visit.
• RM 10.00 for subsequent visit excluding charges for investigation
• Investigations will be charged according to first class rate.

2.  Referred by Private Practitioner

• Same as above

3.  Clinic visit after discharged from ward.

• RM 10.00 for all visit excluding charges for investigations
• Investigation will be charged according to first class rate.
